About The School Mum Edit!
Welcome! We are two school mums with two gorgeous sons, great friends, and women on a mission. After countless chats at the school gates, we realised we couldn’t be the only ones who sometimes felt a bit isolated or unsure how to meet other like-minded women locally. Life is busy, and building meaningful friendships as an adult isn’t always easy — so we decided to do something about it.
That’s how The School Mum Edit was born: a welcoming community where school mums can connect, build friendships and enjoy time for themselves through fun, relaxed and informative events. We also love sharing ideas, inspiration and helpful information about local places to go, things to do in the holidays, and ways to make family life that little bit easier (and more enjoyable!).
Laura lives in Buckinghamshire with her husband, their son and their two dogs, Honey and Loki. A marketeer by profession, Laura brings creativity, energy and organisation to everything she does. She loves being active — whether that’s skiing, waterskiing, horse riding or simply spending time outdoors and in nature.
Carly lives in Northamptonshire with her husband, their son and their dog, Ollie. Carly is a lawyer, and outside of work she enjoys fashion, keeping fit at the gym, discovering great food and travelling whenever she can — especially cruises, which are a firm favourite.
Together, we’ve created The School Mum Edit to be friendly, inclusive and uplifting — a space to meet new people, try new things and feel part of a community.
